During my internship, I worked with the Product Team to design over 8 tools that contributed to the Buyer and Seller Systems at B-Stock. Every 2 weeks, I was involved in redesigning different parts of the company's new design system. I cannot go into too much detail about my specific projects; however, if you would like to learn more about the designs I had worked on, let's chat!
From my first day at B-Stock until my last, I was always on Figma working on designs. This 10-week experience taught me how to work in a fast-paced environment and how to polish my designs based on collaborative feedback, and I could never be more grateful for this amazing experience!
Below are some of my favorite moments from my 10-week journey!
- Finishing my first design project, or "ticket." This entire design process included hours of feedback, redesigning, and rethinking my approach. From then on, each project after that took off easily.
- Winning the virtual escape room with my team against the rest of the summer interns! #TeamUnderdogs
- Having weekly 1-1s with my Design Mentor from our UX team who would give feedback on designs as well as career advice.
- Kickstarted the foundational designs for a new notifications platform and presented my designs to the entire company.
- Consistently updated the design system based on components used in my designs.
- Watercolor painting with the rest of the summer interns was so fun!
I am incredibly grateful for this challenging but rewarding Internship at B-Stock. Of course, a huge shoutout to the folks that provided much support and guidance throughout these 10 weeks: the Product Team, Recruiting Team, and the inaugural Summer Interns at B-Stock!
